When you purchase a Malwarebytes license through our shop, Mike Cote Tech LLC earns a commission from Malwarebytes. The price you pay is the same as — or may be lower than — purchasing directly from Malwarebytes.
We became a Malwarebytes affiliate because it is the antivirus and anti-malware software we genuinely use, recommend to customers during service calls, and install on customer computers throughout Athol and surrounding towns. The affiliate relationship began because we already trusted and recommended the product — not the other way around.
What This Means for You as a Customer
We want to be straightforward about how our affiliate relationships work:
Our recommendations are honest. Mike Cote Tech LLC recommends products — whether from Amazon or Malwarebytes — because we have personally used them, tested them, or installed them for customers. We do not recommend products simply because they pay a higher commission. If a product isn't the right fit for your situation, we'll tell you that.
Commissions do not influence our service advice. When we diagnose your computer, set up a network, or advise you on hardware during a service call, our recommendations are based entirely on what is right for your situation. Our in-person service advice is independent of any affiliate program.
You are never required to purchase through our links. You can buy any recommended product directly from Amazon.com or malwarebytes.com at any time. Using our affiliate links supports a locally owned small business at no extra cost to you — but it is always your choice.
Prices are not inflated. We do not mark up prices on products we link to. Amazon and Malwarebytes set the retail prices. Our commission comes from the affiliate program, not from charging you more.
